BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / CORPORATE ACCOUNTS MANAGER
We have been retained by our client to identify and recruit a Business Development/Corporate Accounts Manager. Our client is a full-service environmental remediation, demolition, geotechnical, and water-related services firm serving both public and private sector clients. Ranked by ENR Magazine as one of the "Top 20 All-Environmental Firms," the company applies multidisciplinary scientific, engineering, and construction expertise to serve the environmental needs of national and international clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for business development activities associated with identifying and securing large industrial and commercial clients and major engineering firms for our client's Environmental Remediation services. The primary goal of this position is to develop enterprise wide relationship and business opportunities.
The location for this position is Open - United States.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Identify and develop strategies to capture new business with major industrial and commercial clients and includes business development, strategic initiatives, and sales development.
- Develop and execute business strategies and initiatives to expand environmental remediation services to new clients, targeting large industrial and commercial clients and environmental engineering firms.
- Establish Corporate Account relationships with Fortune 500 clients utilizing the Company's environmental remediation services.
- Achieve goals identified for business development by working in coordination with Operations to successfully develop and win work and Contracts regarding the negotiation of terms and conditions.
- Conduct sales development activities, including reviewing databases for leads, identifying sales call opportunities, and conducting cold calls to prospective clients.
- Perform data entry into SIMS database for lead tracking and opportunity information.
- Formulate and present proactive, strategic approaches to the proposal development process which leverage the company's service line and regional capabilities.
- Develop enterprise-wide agreements with key strategic clients to develop new relationships and create strategic alliances.
Key skills and experience that our client desires include:
- Minimum of 15 years direct sales experience in the environmental, industrial, and/or construction/engineering market is required with significant corporate account development success. (An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.)
- Excellent sales skills and experience developing enterprise-wide relationships with key decision makers and clients at the executive level.
- Solid organizational skills with the proven ability to manage more than one priority at a time.
- Strong analytical skills (technical aptitude) with a focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Willingness to travel as required (anticipated minimum of 60% travel).
- Proven track record of business development experience with the ability to attract new business and transition clients over to the Company.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with experience working effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment to identify and capture new business.
- Technical experience and expertise with large-scale environmental remediation projects a plus.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to encourage business growth with a sound understanding of risk management procedures and contracting requirements.
- Experience leading major proposal efforts with a sound understanding of risk management procedures and contracting.
- B.S. Degree in related discipline (Business, Engineering, Technical, etc.).
