CORPORATE QUALITY OFFICER
We have been retained by our client to identify and recruit a Corporate Quality Officer. Our client and its operational divisions perform marine contracting (construction, dredging, stevedoring, heavy list, salvage, marine transportation and equipment chartering) throughout North America, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. The CFO will provide financial analysis and reporting on operational performance while participating in the development and execution of financial strategy and analysis to maximize profits and ensure maximum return on investments.
This position will be located in the Northeastern Region of the United States.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Direct and lead all areas of finance, accounting, treasury and information technology, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, and the development of systems and applications across the Company's units.
- Direct the financial consolidations related to all of the Company's legal entities and divisions.
- Assures compliance with: all financial related regulatory agencies; local, state and federal laws, practices and regulations as they apply to the Company's financial reporting, processes and practices.
- Serve as a collaborative member of the Senior Management Team, providing proactive and creative financial advice to the CEO/President and Division heads.
- Ensure that the Company's IT systems, network, and technology properly support the Company's businesses.
- Interact with the Board of Directors in presenting and analyzing the Company performance, budgeting, strategic planning, and potential business opportunities.
- Establish strong working relationships as both a leader in the internal organization and as the primary interface with external financial service providers.
Key skills and experience that our client desires include:
- 15+ years work experience required; at least 10 years as an operational CFO in a company or division with revenue in excess of $200 million.
- Experience with, and a thorough understanding of, percentage completion accounting is highly desirable.
- Experience dealing with the structuring of diverse contracts and financial transactions.
- Experience with accounting issues in a highly equipment-intensive business.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, FAR is desirable.
- Clear track record of career progress with consistent promotions into positions of increasing responsibility and accountability.
- High energy financial professional with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills; is a mature professional with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Exhibits excellent written and oral communication skills.
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- Advanced professional degrees or credentials in accounting or finance preferred.
