VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
We have been retained by our client to identify and recruit a
Vice President, Global Business Development. Our client is a worldwide
leader in design, engineering, procurement, and construction of bulk
material handling & processing systems, and design and
manufacturing of industrial equipment and specialty fasteners. This
position is within the Engineering & Construction operating
division, which provides engineering, design, procurement,
installation, construction management, commissioning, and performance
testing services within the industrial sector, specifically focused in
the Power industry.
This position will be located in the Northeast United States.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Oversee company-wide business development and sales efforts
with the objective of exceeding current revenue growth and maximizing
profits by strategically pursuing partnership opportunities on an
international basis, and specifically promoting the Company’s service
offering within the power industry.
- Manage all international sales and business development
activities and provide an overall strategy to attract and retain new
business.
- Work closely with the President and Management Team to
identify new market segments to penetrate as well as expanding existing
business, focusing on the power industry and on international
expansion.
- Oversee hiring, training and management of key personnel within the business development group.
- Plan and direct the organization’s global sales policies, objectives, and initiatives.
Key skills and experience that our client desires include:
- Skilled at cultivating and maintaining industry contacts and other new business resources.
- Must
have senior-level contacts in the EPC community, ideally with
experience, knowledge, and contacts specifically in the power industry.
- Must have a successful track record of leading a senior
global sales team, along with the ability to attract new business and
transition clients over to the Company.
- Ability to conduct and manage strategic market analysis, and identify and evaluate prospective M&A targets.
- Excellent negotiation skills and tactics to ensure corporate objectives are achieved.
- B.S. Engineering (or related degree)
- M.B.A. (desirable)
